It had to battle a windstorm that boasted gusts of more than 35 mph. That wreaked havoc on the players from both teams, causing the ball to move in all sorts of unusual directions.
That wind proved to especially critical in the first half, when, with the wind behind them, Old High had two shots deflect off the crossbar and back into the field of play, missing the top of the net by mere inches. That proved to be the difference in the Coyotes’ 2-1 loss Friday at Midwestern State University, as L.D.
